Consistent synthetic surface for controlled polishing and precise edge refinement.
Surface
Jende Nanocloth is a synthetic stropping material with no weave, providing consistent feedback in all directions. Unlike woven strops, it eliminates resistance variations during stropping.
Structure
The honeycomb structure holds emulsions inside the surface, keeping abrasive on the strop and distributing it evenly. This creates a “snow-shoe” effect for consistent scratch patterns.
Control
The depth of the honeycomb allows pressure control: increase pressure for more aggressive action or use light strokes for finishing and edge refinement.
Use
Nanocloth strop is mounted on a color acrylic plate and high-quality aluminum blank. Different colors allow quick identification and correspond to micron ratings.
Working with nano cloth is similar to working with leather. Gently slide the cutting edge over the strop, repeating 20-30 times for each side of the blade. The motion should avoid damaging the nano cloth with the cutting edge.
