Select II is a premium sharpening stone series of Sigma Power.

Select II stones are composed of aluminum oxide abrasive with the minimum bonding of high hardness.

Select II stones are universal but designed to sharpen the hardest steels.

Performance

Low dishing

The dishing of Select II stones will be very low. All Sigma Power Select II stones are 5 mm thick and mounted on high-quality aluminum blanks.

The set consists of 7 grit sizes, from 240 grit to 13000 grit. This range covers grinding, sharpening, finishing, and honing stages.

Preparation and care

Soak for 5 minutes

Soak Select II stones in water for 5 minutes before sharpening. Never store Select II stones in water and never dry near heat.

Select II should be used with water as a lubricant.

Grinding

240 grit — Grinding stone, dark green.

400 grit — Brown rough stone, grinding.

Sharpening

1000 grit — Sharpening stone, dark blue.

3000 grit — Sharpening stone, green.

Finishing / Honing

6000 grit — Finishing stone, cream.

10000 grit — Finishing stone, yellow.

13000 grit — Honing stone, yellow.
