Silicon carbide sharpening stones for hard stainless and carbon steels, designed for efficient sharpening from coarse work to final grinding.
Abrasive
Boride CS-HD stones are made from silicon carbide and are designed for sharpening hard steels from 47 to 63 HRC.
Steel range
The CS-HD series is intended for solid stainless and carbon steels where efficient abrasive action is required.
Use
The stones can be used dry, with water, or with a small amount of soap. Excessive pressure is not recommended.
Grit range
Progression
The set includes 150, 220, 400, 600, and 1200 grit stones.
This progression covers all sharpening stages, from rough stock removal to final grinding.
Performance
The gradual grit reduction from stone to stone helps maintain efficient sharpening with minimal time spent between stages.
For softer steels, the CS-HD series may wear faster and load more quickly, so it is best used on harder stainless and carbon steels.
Care
• Clean under running water
• Use a stiff soapy brush or toothbrush
• Flatten with silicon carbide powder
• Do not use excessive pressure
Natural production marks
Boride stones may have saw marks on the working surface or small chips at the corners and edges no larger than 1 mm.
