Rozsutec sharpening stones are used for finish sharpening knives on Hapstone Pro sharpener. Rozsutec stone is natural abrasive material of high density. Rozsutec stones have approximately 6mm thickness and mounted on high quality aluminum blanks.
Rozsutec stone is mined in the Slovakian Mala-Fatra mountains. Rozsutec is Sedimentary sandstone. A Rozsutec micro crystalline structure consists of a fused crystal grains of different sizes.
Nice fine grit natural stone, with characteristics much like a cross between a *good* hard Arkansas and a translucent Arkansas. Very hard stone, cuts slowly, but leaves a semi-polished finish, gives slightly better polish if used with a nagura, but doesn't create significant slurry of its own. Stone came well mounted on an Edge Pro compatible aluminum base, the stone was also very nicely finished, with slightly rounded edges and a perfectly flat top surface, no prep needed before use! I have only used this stone on modern stainless steels so far, but I suspect it will perform better on high carbon steel since it does not cut high carbide stainless aggressively.

Rozsutec sharpening stones should be used with lubricant:
Rozsutec stones do not have any minor defects. Rozsutec stones always have a color pattern; this is not a defect.
Rozsutec stone does not require any preparations. It is naturally lapped to ultra-fine grit.
Grit terminology is not applicable to natural sharpening stones, including Rozsutek. The behavior of a natural stone depends on its density and how good it was lapped. However, experts estimate Rozsutec as 4000 - #6000
