The Naniwa Lobster line of stones is Naniwa’s most budget-friendly option. You’re getting a quality Naniwa stone with the price of an economical water stone. These stones are available in 220, 1000 and 3000 grits.
Like traditional water stones, we recommend soaking the stones in water prior to use. Being a traditional water stone, these stones sharpen quickly.
Naniwa Lobster 220 stone is best used on knives that are very dull, damaged or have issues like a missing tip. The course texture will allow the user to create a new bevel in their blade with ease. These are porous stones so be sure to let them soak up the water until the bubbles cease.
Grit : #220
Material: aluminum oxide
Size: 150x25x6mm
Naniwa Lobster 1000 stone is intended for daily maintenance and establishing an edge on a dull knife. Needs to be soaked in water (usually until the bubbles stop) before use.
Grit : #1000
Material: aluminum oxide
Size: 150x25x6mm
Naniwa Lobster 3000 grit stone has a very smooth texture and is intended for polishing a knife for cutting proteins. This is a water stone so it will need to soak for a minute or two before use.
Grit: #3000
Material: aluminum oxide
Size: 150x25x6mm
