Ardennes-Coticule Selected Whetstone

The Ardennes-Coticule Selected is a premium natural finishing whetstone, handcrafted at the Ardennes Coticule factory in Belgium. Each stone is made from carefully selected layers of rock with the highest garnet concentration, ensuring exceptionally smooth and consistent performance on steel.

With an estimated grit range of JIS 10000–12000, this stone is ideal for final polishing and edge refinement. It produces a fine natural slurry that delivers a mirror finish and excellent control during sharpening.

Every stone is hand-cut from full-size quarried blocks, featuring an active working layer of 4–6 mm (≈0.16–0.24"). Minor natural veins or inclusions may be present — these are part of the stone’s natural structure and do not affect sharpening quality.
