Top Grain Leather is the outermost area of the hide where the hair is sanded off during processing to eliminate imperfections. These strops offer a uniform, flat surface ideal for consistent results. Top grain strops are universal — easy to use with solid or liquid compounds, including diamond and CBN pastes and Hapstone suspensions.
The leather is mounted on a lightweight and durable carbon blank, offering a 35% weight reduction compared to aluminum blanks. This improves balance and control during fine polishing.
How to use:
Gently slide the cutting edge over the strop, repeating 20–30 times per side. Avoid damaging the strop by maintaining a trailing-edge motion.
