Carbon Kangaroo Leather Strop

The Kangaroo Strop is an ultra-efficient tool for final edge polishing using Hapstone or Hapstone knife sharpeners. Made from vegetable-tanned Australian kangaroo leather, this strop provides excellent feedback and precision. The leather is mounted on a lightweight carbon blank, which is 35% lighter than aluminum, offering improved balance and smoother control during finishing strokes.

Working with kangaroo leather is similar to cowhide, but due to its thin, dense, and elastic structure, it delivers even finer polishing results.

How to use:

Gently slide the cutting edge over the strop, repeating 20–30 times per side. Avoid pushing forward with the edge to prevent damage to the leather.
