Construction
The stone consists of a 102 × 25 mm CBN plate, 2 mm thick, bonded to a 100 mm aluminum blank, 3 mm thick.
The blank features beveled ends for a secure hold in the sharpener.
Sharpening progression
For finishing, Hapstone recommends Silicon Carbide abrasives in 1000 and 2500 grit.
For the pre-finish stage, use Hapstone 4000 semi-synthetic abrasive.
For the finish stage, use Gunny Juice 9, 6, 3, and 1 µm compounds.
