Belgian Blue Whetstone Slurry Stone (40×40×16 mm)

A small Belgian Blue Whetstone (BBW) slurry stone for generating a sharpening slurry on various natural and synthetic stones. It works well with BBW itself, Brazilian slate, Green and Black Shadow slates, Rozsutec sandstone, and others.

BBW is a natural garnet-bearing slate with grain sizes of 10–25 microns, offering a sharpening performance comparable to a 4000-grit synthetic stone. It provides a fine finish with minimal burr formation. The garnet crystals ensure efficient metal removal while polishing the surface.

BBW is highly effective on carbon, stainless, Damascus, HSS, and powder steels, handling hardness levels above 60 HRC. The resulting edge is aggressive and highly durable. This slurry stone is recommended for final honing and finishing tasks.
