Finish
Delivers a highly refined finish, making it ideal for straight razors and final honing of cutting edges.
Mounting

Performance
Yellow Lake is a relatively soft natural stone with an exceptionally fine grain. It produces a clean, refined edge and is particularly well suited to finishing straight razors.
When used with water, the stone develops a rich slurry that provides smooth and controlled honing.
Medium
The stone can be used with water or oil. Water is recommended for best results and helps generate a rich slurry during honing.
Maintenance
Yellow Lake comes lapped and ready to use. If flattening is needed, resurface it on glass using silicon carbide powder.
