Preserve
Tsubaki Oil is a natural Omega-9-containing oil virgin-pressed from the seeds of Camellia oleifera. It is traditionally used in Japan to preserve fine tools, swords, knives, and cutlery.
The oil displaces moisture and forms an oxygen barrier while remaining suitable for food-contact blades because it does not impart an unwanted taste.
Secure
Medium-strength removable threadlocker helps prevent pivot, handle, and pocket clip screws from loosening during use.
It provides reliable screw retention while still allowing the knife to be disassembled later for adjustment or maintenance.
Lubricant guide
The Triple Combination Pack provides three lubricant weights, allowing the maintenance process to be matched to the knife mechanism and desired action.
Low-viscosity lubricant for narrow tolerances, small pivots, fast actions, and mechanisms that require maximum penetration.
Versatile medium-viscosity lubricant suitable for most folding knife pivots, bearings, washers, and bushings.
Higher-viscosity lubricant for larger pivots, detent tracks, heavier mechanisms, and applications requiring longer-lasting lubrication.
How to use
Remove dirt, old lubricant, metal particles, and residue from the pivot and internal components using the microfiber swabs.
Use the Selvyt microfiber cloth to clean the blade, liners, washers, handle components, and other accessible surfaces.
Select the appropriate KPL viscosity and apply a small amount to the pivot, bearings, washers, bushings, or detent track.
Apply KPL Knife Shield™ or Tsubaki Oil to clean metal surfaces to help protect them from moisture, oxidation, and corrosion.
Apply a small amount of Vibra-TITE threadlocker to the appropriate screw threads before reassembling the knife.
Open and close the blade several times to distribute the lubricant evenly and confirm smooth, consistent operation.
