Generation
Cerberus Dog supersedes the Dog Series and belongs to the second generation of Venev dual-sided diamonds.
Layer
Each side has a 2 mm diamond-bearing layer, twice thicker than in the Dog and Greater Dog Series.
Combinations
Grit system
All Venev diamonds use the FEPA-F grit scale. Cerberus Series is available in six grit combinations.
The coarse grit range from F80 to F240 uses the wear-resistant legacy binder, while the fine range from F400 to F1500 uses OCB binder with no abrasive particles in the composition.
Construction
The diamond-bearing plate contains evenly distributed diamond grains with resin bonding. Bonded diamonds provide better feedback and give the sharpening stone a much longer lifespan.
Diamond layers are attached to a CNC-milled duralumin alloy base plate, improving durability and flatness.
Cerberus is the first Venev dual-sided series compatible with KME sharpeners without an aftermarket stone holder.
OCB Binder
OCB binder has no abrasive particles in the composition and offers better scratch-free sharpening results in the fine grit range.
Use
Venev Diamonds are recommended to be used with water for the best feedback. Dry usage is acceptable, although it results in faster wearing and speeds up stone loading.
