Format
Dog Series stones can be used with guided knife sharpeners or as a pocket sharpening stone for compact sharpening work.
Abrasive
Diamond sharpening stones offer excellent performance when sharpening knives made from any steel.
Construction
Each stone has two 1 mm-thick diamond-bearing layers on an aluminum plate with evenly distributed diamond grains.
Combinations
Dog Series
Dog Series is the least expensive bonded diamond option for guided sharpeners. Bonded diamonds are more complex to manufacture than coated diamonds, but they provide better feedback and a much longer lifespan.
All Venev diamonds use FEPA-F grit classification. Dog Series is available in five grit combinations.
OCB version
The OCB version of Venev Diamonds uses a yellow binder with no abrasive particles in the composition.
OCB is available in fine grits only and offers better scratch-free sharpening results.
Use
Venev Diamonds are recommended to be used with water as a lubricant for the best feedback. The diamond layer does not absorb water, so it is enough to splash water on the stone surface.
Dry use
Dry usage is acceptable, although it results in faster wearing and speeds up stone loading.
