Gokumyo stones can be used to sharpen knives of any steel, including high carbon, vanadium, and chromium steels.
Preparation
Gokumyo stones are preliminarily lapped and do not require lapping after purchase.
Use and care
Gokumyo should be used with water as a lubricant. Do not soak Gokumyo stones in water.
Use a splash of water or a water spray during sharpening. Never store Gokumyo stones in water and never dry them near heat.
