Diamond has a tetrahedral crystal structure, with fewer cutting edges and sharper cutting angles. CBN has an octahedral crystal structure, with more cutting edges and less aggressive angles.
This gives CBN higher productivity with a smoother working feel.

Care
The stone is designed for manual sharpening of knives, straight razor blades, chisels, and similar tools. The surface can be restored with silicon carbide powder on a flat surface.
