Horween shell cordovan

Genuine Shell Cordovan represents the pinnacle of traditional tanning craftsmanship. Sourced from a specific layer of horsehide, this premium leather undergoes an intensive 6-month process at Horween Leather Company in Chicago.

Surface

Natural glossy finish

The shells are vegetable-tanned, hot-stuffed, hand-curried, and glazed to produce a dense, glassy surface — perfect for ultra-fine stropping. Each strop features a natural high-gloss pattern, unique to every piece.

Construction

Carbon blank base

Mounted on a lightweight carbon blank, 35% lighter than aluminum, the strop provides balanced control for precise edge refinement. Ideal for use with Hapstone diamond or CBN pastes and finishing suspensions.
