Medium-hard bonded aluminum oxide stone for high-alloy tool steels, stainless steels, and everyday kitchen knives up to 62 HRC.
Steel range
Boride T2 is engineered for high-alloy tool steels and stainless steels up to 62 HRC.
Abrasive
The aluminum oxide abrasive on a medium-hard bond provides controlled cutting and a stable sharpening feel.
Finish
Special factory impregnation helps the stone cut fast while leaving a refined satin edge.
Application
Boride T2 is a practical choice for powder metallurgy steels, high-carbon steels, stainless steels, and most common kitchen knives.
For more context on Boride stone series and how they differ in use, see the Boride guide in the Hapstone article section.
Lubrication
For best performance, use Boride Honing Oil, Hapstone Magic Oil, Norton Sharpening Oil, or Bori-Lube. Water or soapy water can also be used if preferred.
Maintenance
Clean the stone with a Boride Dressing Stick Soft or Hapstone Stone Booster Medium. Flattening can be done with silicon carbide powder.
Production notes
Boride stones may have minor production marks, such as saw strokes on the working surface, lacquer residues, or small chips at corners and edges no larger than 1 mm.
