The stone can be recommended for a wide range of blades, from soft stainless steel to hard high-alloy steels with high carbon content.
Application
The 900-F is primarily used for hand finishing operations and works especially well on P-20 mold steel with hardness ranging from 29 to 32 Rc.
For knife sharpening, the soft bond allows it to cope well with steels around 58–62 HRC.
Always use a lubricant with the stone.
