The Ceramic Ultra Fine stone is roughly equivalent to 4000–6000 grit (JIS) — perfect for final polishing and edge refinement.
As for the 4000 grit Optimal stone, it’s already very fine, so:
- For flattening it, use a 600 grit lapping plate.
- For refreshing the surface (“conditioning”), use a 1000–1200 grit abrasive.
